Who is Dr Amsha Nahid?

After a research career at leading Australian institutions with an Engineering PhD, Dr Amsha Nahid transitioned into Islamic education and community leadership. With both formal and traditional training in Islamic scholarship, she leads regular halaqas and studies Hadith and Tafseer under Shaykh Akram Nadwi. She is also the Director of two childcare services and the non-profit organisation Islam Empowering Women (IEW), where she supports women/families through education and mental health advocacy.

 Will you cater to my dietary requirements?

Yes, provided that you book at least seven (7) days

before the start of the event.

 Can I bring my children?

You may bring your female children over the age of 12.

All guests under 18 must have parent/guardian

supervision.

 Can I attend while on my menses?

Yes, you may attend as we will be hosting in the

dining hall outside of the masjid.
